Reffering to chris' entry:

E. durangonua

Pound for pound this hairy, largely nocturnal arachnid has a much deadlier set of jaws (or chelicerae- the insect equivalent) than a great white shark. In fact this creature, also known as the sunspider or wind-scorpion, has the strongest jaws - relative to size -of any animal on earth.

This voracious carnivore uses those jaws to overcome everything from insects, birds and lizards to small mammals and even scorpions. Its long legs allow it to traverse its habitat at a very high rate of speed. And if food is available, a solifugid will keep eating until its abdomen is so distended that it's practically immobile.

His name shall be Teddy
...I'm going to go find teddy something to eat.

1:16pm: MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST: May 10, 2006

"Add to your faith virtue..."

2Peter 1:5

"Add" means there is something we have to do. We are in danger of
forgetting that we cannot do what God does, and that God will not do
what we can do. We cannot save ourselves nor sanctify ourselves, God
does that; but God will not give us good habits, He will not give us
character, He will not make us walk aright. We have to do all that
ourselves, we have to work out the salvation God has worked in. "Add"
means to get into the habit of doing things, and in the initial
stages it is difficult. To take the initiative is to make a
beginning, to instruct yourself in the way you have to go.

Beware of the tendency of asking the way when you know it perfectly
well. Take the initiative, stop hesitating, and take the first step.
Be resolute when God speaks, act in faith immediately on what He
says, and never revise your decisions. If you hesitate when God tells
you to do a thing, you endanger your standing in grace. Take the
initiative, take it yourself, take the step with your will now, make
it impossible to go back. Burn your bridges behind you - "I will
write that letter"; "I will pay that debt." Make the thing

We have to get into the habit of hearkening to God about everything,
to form the habit of finding out what God says. If when a crisis
comes, we instinctively turn to God, we know that the habit has been
formed. We have to take the initiative where we are, not where we are

11:07pm: Thoughts Scattered Down

"Everybody wants to go to heaven
but nobody wants to die."
-David Crowder (track 1 of "A Collision")

many of you guys might have heard me walking around school today all jolly singing this song..cause its fun...and kind of funny too..and the lyrics are pretty true.

i think were pretty extreme people by nature..whatever we do, we want to be the best at..or maybe thats just me..well it cant be just me, b/c this school is filled with amazing, talented people.

i think the first impulse we get when we hear those lyrics is
"hmm yeah thats true..people should realize.." or "they dont understand..." or..i donno
but basically along the lines of..thats true in general for most people, but not me.

i would even go so far to say that most of us would sya that we would die for jesus. that if someone were threatening us..defend jesus and die, or reject him and live, that we would say we DEFinitely would defend jesus.
That if we had to choose between jesus and holding onto something or someone..that we would obviously choose jesus.

Im getting pretty tired of all these hypothetical, glorious dreams. Unless you go to Uganda, people aren’t going to point a gun at your head for following jesus. Unless jesus came back tomorrow youre never going to have to choose between physically following jesus and physically pursuing your wealth, fame and girlfriends.

Would you believe a fat rich man if he said that he would give up one $1000 outfit to save the lives of 5 homeless people?
Im sure if there were 5 homeless people held at gunpoint in front of his face, with their captors demanding $1000 dollars that he would pay it. But there are homeless people dying like flies during the winter time in the cities because they can’t find a blanket. Not even going to mention outside the US.

Jesus is not a freaking back up plan. He is not something you push to the back of your mind to free you from guilt trip so that you can reaccept him and he can re-forgive you.

Yes he is always overjoyed to reforgive, if that means you are turning back to him. He is always willing to take away all your sin for you—in fact he already did. How? He died for you. Now if you really feel like youre willing to die for him, do it. Now. Circumstances don’t need to be screaming in your face for you to act.

ok so i wrote that entry a week ago. but was hesitant to post it, since it sounds really rebukish and i was really frustrated at the time. sorry if you feel targetted, but these are just my direct thoughts, unedited. all of these should really be taken as encouragement to ACT on God's word..because God wants the best for our lives, and the best doesnt come without obeying him.

10:20pm: Come and See

It really doesn’t matter if you’re Christian, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, Atheist, or whatever..you’re all welcome to come. Come and see what the fullness of God is really about. I’m inviting you to come and discover exactly happened at the cross where Jesus was crucified, and why heck it even matters.

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink."

If you’ve ever experienced the loneliness and hopelessness of depression, or have ever contemplated if the only things to life are what we see in front of us on our desks, or why we even freaking exist, come and taste the truth. Come and hear about a God who is all-powerful and all-merciful…where salvation isn’t something to earn but to receive as a gift.

Re-evaluate your meaning. What are you living for? Grades? Money? The opposite sex? Hope in a perfect, glorious future that only lasts until you die?

If you are AT ALL unsatisfied with your life or wondering why you’re striving so hard just to die, rich or poor, smart or stupid, accomplished or lackluster, then I URGE you to come find out what God has to say about purpose…even if you just have nothing better to do...come.

Come and bring your friends, no matter their "religion."

So here's the movie for you guys

I'm really glad a lot of you guys enjoyed this video. We tried to make it as entertaining as possible with all the random shots and everything, but it wasn't only meant to be funny. We saw this project as an opportunity to actually make a point.

So have fun and as a great mind once said, and still says very, very often (everyday), dig deeper!

EDIT: you might need to download the DivX codec to view the video - www.download.com - its free

9:47pm: internet is bad

im banning myself from the internet.

im realizing there are so many better things to be doing than sitting here reading xangas, livejournals and other random stuff. and plus my quiet times (and thus, my spiritual) are beginning to suffer from my busy schedule and crappy study habits.

im confining myself to email and livejournal once a day only.
+if i actually need it for homework.
